The HHU research portfolio benefits from a wide range of research collaborations with universities, independent research institutions and other regional, national and international partners from academia and industry. Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is also a partner in many specialist and cross-institutional networks.

 


Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce

To improve technology transfer between academia and industry, the Düsseldorf Chamber of Industry and Commerce works with the regional higher-education institutions on certain key issues, such as supporting start-ups.

Forschungsdialog Metropolregion Rheinland

The dialogue-based partnership Forschungsdialog Metropolregion Rheinland consists of universities of Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf and Wuppertal and other higher-education institutions in the Rhineland region, the German Aerospace Center in Cologne, Forschungszentrum Jülich, and the regional Chambers of Industry and Commerce. It is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia.  The purpose of the dialogue is to strengthen the Rhineland region in the competition between regions nationally and internationally.

"BioRiver - Life Science im Rheinland e.V." is the association of the life science and biotech industry and its stakeholders in one of Europe's leading life science and biotechnology clusters: the Rhineland Metropolitan Region in North Rhine-Westphalia. The members form a network of companies, universities and research institutions as well as business promoters and stakeholders in the industry.
