Award winners at the HHU

Numerous national and international awards show the excellence of the scientists at HHU. Honouring scientists and scholars with prizes has long been a tradition. As early as the 18th century, scientific prizes were awarded by academic associations and academies. In the 19th century, numerous scientific prizes were sponsored by patrons such as the Swedish manufacturer, Alfred Nobel.
The following pages list laureates of renowned external scientific awards and provide an overview of laureates of scientific prizes which are awarded to and at Heinrich Heine University.
